We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Infrastructure Engineer - Product Owner to join our team at Raytheon Careers. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for supporting our current traditional Linux based "on premises" VMware environment and migrating these existing systems to a more modern "Infrastructure as Code" (IaC) environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Leverage company and industry best practices to assist with deployment, implementation, modernization, and support of DevOps solutions
- Oversee and improve the platform's over-arching design, focusing on improvements in the O/S, COTS stack
- Assist engineers with DevOps/IaC tool usage and issues, leveraging experience, industry standards, and best practices
- Deploy applications and infrastructure on RedHat/VMware/Openshift environments
- Configure application deployments using Jenkins and Ansible playbooks
- Troubleshoot application installation and runtime issues in Linux VMs and Docker/podman pods
- Document progress and discrepancies in Jira and Confluence
- Assist with integration of the selected platform provisioning tool, such as Terraform/VMWare or other related toolsets
- Create installation checklists from documentation to streamline installation workflow
- Obtain CompTIA Security+ (CISSP) Certification within 90 days
- Active and transferable DOD-Secret issued security clearance required prior to start date
- Typically requires BS/BA Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or Physics, and 8 years of related work experience
- Experience with Linux System Administration, such as RHEL 7.0+ or other related Linux OSs
- Experience with Agile Development Methodologies, such as Scrum, SAFe
- Experience deploying, configuring, and supporting CICD Pipelines, such as Jira/Jira Service Management
- Experience with Automation frameworks, such as Chef/Ansible
- Experience with code repository systems, such as ClearCase/Bit Bucket
- Agile Product Owner Certification
- Experience implementing Scaled Agile Frameworks
- Knowledge and familiarity with Atlassian tool suite, specifically: Jira and Confluence
- Container development and orchestration, such as Kubernetes or other related tools
- VM provisioning, such as VMWare or other related tools
- Knowledge and familiarity with Git/Jenkins
- Background in COTS/FOSS product installation, configuration, and integration
- Experience with Test Engineering
- Experience with Troubleshooting software defects
- Experience with Troubleshooting Operating System defects
- Experience with Technical Training and Mentoring
- Experience with Configuration and Installation of Engineered Systems
- Experience with Technical Support
- Experience with Customer interaction

This role is a U.S.-based role, and if the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
