Executive Director, Corporate Development

Halozyme is seeking an experienced Executive Director, Corporate Development to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing our M&A strategy through strategic transactions, including diligence coordination and spearheading integration processes.
Key Responsibilities- Work independently and in collaboration with internal and external groups to provide detailed economic analyses of new opportunities to inform business decisions.
- Coordinate the evaluation and diligence of new opportunities across multiple functional areas, including Research, Clinical, Regulatory, Commercial, Manufacturing, Finance, Legal, Intellectual Property, and other groups.
- Support the executive leadership team in deal negotiations and contribute to activities such as drafting definitive agreements.
- Partner with the VP of Corporate Development to establish overall direction for the function.
- Support and oversee the integration process of acquired entities into Halozyme, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Translate due diligence findings into early integration planning and strategy development.
- Guide integration team to identify, scope, and schedule project deliverables, resources, milestones, and activities.
- Contribute to the development of Transitional Service Agreements and Transition Manufacturing agreements, and support negotiation.
- MBA with 15 years of experience in Corporate Strategy, Corporate Development, M&A integration, or related areas within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
- Demonstrated experience leading large-scale due diligence and integration initiatives in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
- Solid Project Management skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Flexibility to travel as needed for integration activities.
- Experience leading enterprise-wide transformation initiatives and driving organizational change.
- Familiarity with M&A best practices and integration frameworks.
- Proficiency in financial analysis and modeling.

The most likely base pay range for this position is $219K - $329K per year. Several factors, such as experience, tenure, skills, and particular business needs, will determine an individual's exact level of compensation. Total compensation could include bonuses, sales incentives, and equity awards.
