As a Business Development Expert, you will play a key role in driving the growth and success of our top-ranked global law firm's market-leading M&A/PE practice. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in client research, marketing, and competitive intelligence to support our lawyers on key projects and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Intelligence: Monitor and evaluate business development efforts and initiatives within the M&A, finance, and investment space to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Client Research: Analyze clients' and competitors' market trends to inform our business development strategies and ensure we stay ahead of the curve.
  • Project Management: Design and own project timelines and collaborate with necessary departments to ensure deadline completion and successful outcomes.
  • Content Creation: Prepare and maintain competitive analysis, one-pagers, and other client-facing content to showcase our expertise and build strong relationships with clients.
  • Sponsorship and Events: Identify and plan sponsorship of select conferences, events, and client galas to enhance our visibility and reputation.
  • Marketing and Communications: Collaborate with the Communications and Marketing teams to promote the practice internally and externally and drive engagement with key stakeholders.
  • Cross-Selling Opportunities: Identify and implement strategies to capture cross-selling opportunities and drive revenue growth.

About You:

  • You have 3+ years of experience in legal business development/marketing or financial analysis within M&A/PE.
  • You hold a Bachelor's degree, with JD or MBA preferred.
  • You possess deep experience and expertise within M&A/PE, with experience with legal RFPs and/or competitive intelligence research a plus.
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced MS Excel skills.
  • You have working knowledge of CRM/Experience Management Software, such as InterAction, Salesforce, ContentPilot, and transaction/private funds platforms.
  • You excel in research and analytical thinking, with the ability to prioritize, organize, and meet multiple project deadlines simultaneously.
  • You are motivated, energetic, and persuasive, with excellent interpersonal skills and good judgment in communication.
