Position Overview:

The role of a Mechanic / Test Technician on the 2nd Shift involves critical responsibilities in the testing and validation of mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret mechanical schematics and engineered designs.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, and representatives from vendors and clients throughout the phases of definition, assembly, testing, and acceptance.
  • Conduct functional checkouts and operational/component assessments of mechanical systems, along with ground support equipment installations, including the operation and upkeep of related support apparatus.
  • Examine test documentation to pinpoint issues within the test facility and devise corrective measures.
  • Propose enhancements and modifications to equipment, sub-assemblies, as well as testing and integration methodologies.
  • Utilize engineering drawings, schematics, work orders, technical documentation, and formal guidance.
  • May be required to operate in hazardous conditions while ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Demonstrate technical expertise and the ability to function effectively within a team with minimal supervision.

Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Experience with non-automated standalone equipment is essential.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Completion of a Mechanics Trade School.
  • Previous military experience in mechanics.
  • Experience with aircraft hydraulics and mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with large industrial hydraulic power supplies and distribution networks.
