We are seeking a highly skilled Die Cast Machine Operator to join our team at NSi Industries LLC. As a Die Cast Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and troubleshooting die cast machines, maintaining safety equipment, and ensuring the smooth operation of our production line.
Key Responsibilities- Set up and operate die cast machines, including Techmire, Prince, and Kux machines
- Troubleshoot and correct problems with die cast machines, including porosity and flash
- Maintain and set up safety equipment and guarding
- Submit first and last pieces on all set ups
- Communicate production and safety issues to foreperson or supervisor
- Provide guidance to operators on proper procedures in the operation of die cast equipment
- Basic knowledge of die cast machine components and die components
- Ability to understand and use tools such as calipers and torque wrenches
- High school Diploma/Equivalency
- Experience with die cast machines; able to set up and troubleshoot
- Knowledge of Techmire, Prince, and Kux machines a plus
- Understanding of mechanics
- Good interpersonal and computer skills
- Ability to read measuring equipment such as micrometers and calipers
The die cast environment requires working around hot metal and requires a significant amount of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; use hands and fingers to feel and handle; reach with arms and hands; and hear. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, and crouch; lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 50 pounds.
