Job Title: Tire Sales Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tire Sales Manager to join our team at Bridgestone Retail Operations. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for introducing tire products to customers, promoting customer use of CFNA Credit Card, and providing education to other store teammates on conducting tire selections.

Responsibilities:
  • Selling and Sales Promotion (70% of the time): Personally handle all customer needs in areas of tire sales, service, complaints, adjustments, etc.
  • Operate P.O.S. terminal to write work orders, customer invoices, credit tickets, etc. and accept payment from customer.
  • Contact customers to assess, review, and educate on uncovered needs for tire and related sales opportunities.
  • Promote customer use of CFNA Credit Card as frequently as possible.
  • Provide education to other store teammates on conducting tire selections with the BOSS.
  • Introduce tire products to achieve appropriate sales.
  • Keep tire selling area and tire displays clean and properly set up at all times.
  • Follow and execute appropriate CSDS steps.
  • Administer sales promotion programs.
  • Set up inside and outside displays, including special "as advertised" displays during promotions.
  • Be aware of promotions, rebates, and other incentives available to customers.
  • Manage and prepare for Epic Events by bringing awareness to store-specific promotions, creating marketing material, communicating to customers and vendors, etc.
  • Make outbound calls to solicit missed appointments, prior recommendations, quotes, and business-to-business opportunities.
  • Assist store manager in assigning tire sales objectives and follow teammates for attainment.
  • Make tire adjustments and settle customer complaints or refer those not finalized to Store Manager.
  • Solicit business from local businesses and fleets.
  • Directly handle customers in areas of sales, service, complaints, adjustments, etc.
  • Develop customer loyalty and retention through relationship selling.
  • Grow profit through service or tire recommendations as needed by the customer.
Information Coordination (10% of the time):
  • Assist manager during store meetings with all teammates to cover current advertising and promotion.
  • Help to present tire-related training meetings with other teammates.
  • Shop competition and keep other teammates informed on what competition is advertising.
  • Review unit activity report and unit planning reports for evaluation with store manager.
Inventory Control (15% of the time):
  • Review and order adequate inventory in advance of sales.
  • Help to unload trucks as merchandise shipments arrive.
  • Keep store in stock on valve assemblies, wheel weights, bead lubricant, and tire repair supplies.
  • Organize and maintain inventory storage.
Miscellaneous Functions (5% of the time):
  • Open and/or close the store as required and directed.
  • Attend all store, area, and special meetings as required.
  • Practice courtesy, honesty, and good judgment with all customers and store teammates.
  • Help to unload merchandise shipments, change and balance tires in the service department, construct store displays, and perform other physical duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications: 2-year degree or non-traditional education through training program completion, certification, or other growth mindset indicators. Aptitude to manage inventory, order scheduling, and ongoing merchandising displays. Experience working in the automotive industry, specifically with tires.

Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. 2 years of consumer retail sales experience. Must be able to communicate with and assist customers in sales and complaints. Problem solving as it relates to customer complaints. Must have a valid automobile driver's license at all times. Must complete and maintain all current required BSRO store education courses & modules.
