Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Annual Giving Assistant to join our team at Museum Associates. This role will provide administrative support to the Assistant VP, Individual Giving, and will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to member solicitations, mailings, and donor relations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and coordinate complex member solicitations and mailings, including renewals, acknowledgement letters, membership cards, and gift receipts.
  • Draft and distribute correspondence and acknowledgments to donors.
  • Establish and implement a schedule for member-related functions, such as renewals and gift processing, and ensure timely and efficient completion of tasks.
  • Create event invitations, save-the-dates, and other mailings to promote Museum Associates' events and programs.
  • Develop and maintain organizational systems for donor files and database management.
  • Manage Mail Chimp and mailing lists, and carry out related mailings and email blasts.
  • Track and assist with event and development department budgets.
  • Process expense reports and invoices.
  • Provide reports from the donor database.
  • Create Excel spreadsheets to assist with data analysis.
  • Interact with top donors and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Route and respond to telephone calls and maintain accurate records.
  • Maintain prospect assignment reports and coordinate meetings, conference calls, and appointments.
  • Support Development events as needed.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  • Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Art History or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience.
  • Experience in a development or fundraising environment is preferred.

  • The expected hourly rate for this Los Angeles, CA-based position is $20.00-$21.63, subject to change.
