Position Overview:

The Iris Network is dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals with visual impairments. We are seeking a Certified Vision Rehabilitation Therapist to deliver mobile services to clients across various counties.


Compensation:

Annual salary ranges from $46,000 to $66,400. This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week, including travel. Mileage expenses will be reimbursed, and you will have the flexibility to set your own schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

The Vision Rehabilitation Therapist will:

  • Conduct assessments to identify client needs and formulate tailored rehabilitation plans.
  • Instruct clients in independent living, low vision, communication, and technology skills.
  • Recommend adaptive devices and assist clients in acquiring them.
  • Provide counseling and advocacy services, connecting clients with additional support resources.
  • Maintain accurate client records and outcomes in accordance with agency protocols.
  • Engage in community outreach to raise awareness and identify underserved populations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and external agencies to ensure comprehensive service delivery.
  • Stay informed about developments in the field of Vision Rehabilitation and participate in relevant professional development opportunities.

Additional Duties:

Perform other responsibilities as assigned that align with the role of a Vision Rehabilitation Therapist, adhering to all organizational policies and procedures.
