We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our team at the City of Copperas Cove. As a key member of our Utilities Department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to our utility customers.
Key Responsibilities- Process and manage utility billing accounts, including posting payments and resolving customer inquiries.
- Utilize computer software applications to service customer accounts and maintain accurate records.
- Develop and maintain expertise in assigned areas of utility administration operations, including work processes and software systems.
- Provide training and support to newer colleagues to ensure consistent account servicing processes.
- Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and provide excellent customer service.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; two years of experience in municipal utilities and/or office administration preferred.
- Ability to type 35 wpm and possess strong mathematical aptitude.
- Valid State Driver's License or ability to obtain one prior to employment.
The work environment is typically moderately quiet, and the employee must be able to work well with others and have a good/pleasant attitude.
