About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Manager to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a key member of our health information management department, you will be responsible for leading and directing health information management services across our health organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Health Information Management: Direct all health information management functions, including chart analysis, CDI, Coding, Revenue Integrity/Regulatory Services, Document Management, Chart Correction, Forms Management, and RAC/Audit.
  • Provide direction and leadership to ensure support and accomplishment of our health system's health information management functions through well-organized, efficient, and effective processes.
  • Ensure compliance with state and JCHAO regulations.

Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Hospital Administration, or related field.
  • Licensure/Certification: Registered as a Records Administrator (RRA) by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).
  • Professional Experience: Ten (10) years of experience in the healthcare industry performing duties related to health information management, including seven (7) years of supervisory experience in a health information management function.
  • Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities: Understands and appropriately applies principles, procedures, requirements, regulations, and policies related to specialized expertise. Ability to analyze and evaluate medical records, data and information and to apply established standards, regulations and laws to specific operating problems.
