Job Summary

The Registered Nurse provides high-quality clinical care to patients of all ages in the Outpatient Mental Health & Wellness Services setting. Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, the nurse ensures effective care for patients while maintaining high professional standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and diagnostics for patients before meetings with providers.
  • Schedule and complete health monitoring for patients annually and as needed.
  • Respond to emergency calls or crisis walk-ins, performing assessments and developing plans of care as necessary.
  • Address and respond to patient needs received via the nursing triage line.
  • Administer medication in accordance with policies, procedures, and standards of care.
  • Perform blood draws as ordered.
  • Complete paperwork submitted by patients.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for front office staff.
  • Stay current on Mental Health treatments and best practices, including medication administration, treatment, and potential side effects.
  • Routinely check physician orders and implement per policy and procedure.
  • Accurately record all pertinent information on the client's medical record per policy and procedure.
  • Identify and correlate abnormal diagnostic data with client status, reporting and recording appropriately.
  • Maintain clinical progress notes per policy and procedure.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated knowledge of safety policies and procedures.
  • Competent use of technology, including EHR.
  • Ability to work effectively and communicate effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in medication administration.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and active listening skills.
  • Professionalism and business acumen appropriate for working with guests, physicians, employees, and volunteers.
Working Conditions
  • Requires use of computer programs as well as assembling, using, checking, and maintaining required equipment.
  • Requires attending meetings as well as participation on committees as required.
  • Actively participates in in-service programs, in Quality Assurance programs, and CQI, cross-training; attends all mandatory classes as required; completes unit-specific competencies.
  • Occasionally requires assignments to other units/shifts as hospital needs require.
  • Complies with DOH requirements for annual health assessments and required immunizations.
Pay Range

$34.00-$43.45/hour

Employee salary is based on commensurate experience and other qualifications.
