Position Overview:

As a Critical Care Transport (CCT) Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional medical care during the transportation of patients between facilities. Your commitment to compassionate service and advanced patient care will be essential in ensuring the well-being of those in critical conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments and utilize your nursing expertise to determine the most effective interventions for patients in critical care scenarios.
  • Deliver care in accordance with the Registered Nurse scope of practice as established by the relevant nursing board and standardized procedures.
  • Employ critical thinking skills to manage adult and pediatric patients who are critically ill or injured, while adhering to physician directives.
  • Lead the healthcare team by maintaining a safe, organized, and well-equipped environment for patient care, including regular equipment checks.
  • Collaborate professionally with allied health professionals and public safety personnel to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain all required certifications and engage in ongoing training pertinent to the role.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Current, unrestricted California Registered Nurse license.
  • A minimum of two years of full-time experience as a Registered Nurse, with at least two years in an ICU, Emergency Department, or CCT setting within the last three years.
  • Current certifications in ACLS, PALS, and BLS-C (or equivalent).
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Certification in PHTLS and NRP is preferred (must be obtained within six months of hire).
  • Completion of ICS courses, including IS-100B, IS-700A, IS-800B, and IS-200B.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in critical care inter-facility transfers; certifications such as CEN, CCRN, TNCC, or ENC; and BTLS/PHTLS.

Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $36.00 to $62.92 per hour, depending on experience, applicable to a 12-hour shift with an average of 20 to 49 hours per week. This role is also eligible for bonuses.
