Are you passionate about providing exceptional care to seniors? We are seeking a dedicated Medication Licensed Nurse to enhance the quality of life for our residents at our vibrant Assisted Living and Memory Care community.
As a Medication Licensed Nurse, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing all aspects of resident medications, treatments, and care as assigned. You will also supervise the facility in the absence of the Administrator, ensuring that our mission of delivering superior service and a quality lifestyle is upheld.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delegate authority and responsibility for assigned tasks to ensure effective care delivery.
- Provide comprehensive status reports to incoming nursing staff and gather updates from outgoing staff.
- Maintain accurate medical charts and progress notes, documenting all relevant resident information.
- Complete Incident/Accident reports as necessary to ensure resident safety.
- Ensure the confidentiality and accuracy of resident medication and care records.
- Foster a safe and comfortable environment for residents, addressing inquiries promptly and courteously.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, families, and other stakeholders regarding resident status and needs.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with staff and inter-department personnel.
- Create a warm and inviting atmosphere that promotes personal interest and calmness.
- Administer medications throughout the day, ensuring residents consume their medications and documenting appropriately.
- Assist with all aspects of resident care as needed.
- Receive, record, and restock medications from the pharmacy.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the community's mission.
Qualifications:
- Active nursing licensure (RN, LVN, LPN) in good standing is required.
- A minimum of six months of experience as a licensed nurse is required, with a preference for experience in senior care.
- Proficiency in English is preferred.
- Current CPR certification is necessary.
- A minimum of four years in clinical nursing practice or long-term care administration is required.
- Supervisory or administrative experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. is essential.
