About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Associate Director of Sales to join our team at Thompson Austin. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the sales staff, selecting key accounts, and driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mentor and train sales staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Recruit and hire sales staff to ensure the team has the right mix of skills and experience.
  • Lead sales meetings and work with catering and convention services to ensure seamless execution of events.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth and meet business objectives.
  • Work closely with the Director of Sales to develop and implement the annual business plan.
  • Forecast sales revenue and manage the sales budget to ensure accurate forecasting and budgeting.
  • Represent the hotel at owners' meetings and other external events.
  • Provide systems training and support to sales staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to use our sales systems effectively.
  • Analyze sales reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Manage the sales and marketing budget to ensure effective use of resources.
  • Travel to trade shows and other external events to promote the hotel and build relationships with key partners.
  • Entertain customers and build relationships to drive revenue growth.
  • Participate in community involvement and networking activities to build relationships and promote the hotel.

Qualifications

  • Refined verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be proficient in general computer knowledge.
  • 3 years in Hotel Event Sales and/or Event Planning.
