Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Accounts Payable Manager to join our team at Booz Allen Hamilton. As a key member of our Business Services team, you will be responsible for leading the Accounts Payable team and overseeing the processing of invoices and payments, as well as managing expense accounts and budget reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply knowledge and understanding of Financial Accounting and internal controls related to day-to-day Accounts Payable operations.
  • Create and utilize automated tools for updating, analyzing, and reporting financial results.
  • Monitor KPIs and implement necessary steps to increase efficiency within the procure-to-pay (P2P) process.
  • Create reports on financial performance for internal and external use.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Company's Accounts Payable and Travel and Expense policies in accordance with GAAP, DCAA, IFRS, and corporate policy.
  • Formulate business strategy and guide the progress of projects while mentoring staff.
  • Identify, qualify, prioritize, and implement process improvements to meet Accounts Payable needs.
  • Identify underperforming processes and work with stakeholders to design and implement improvements.
  • Model company values, ensure company compliance with all requirements, and audit shared services processes.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience with leading accounts payable operations.
  • Experience in interacting and coordinating with colleagues in internal departments.
  • Experience with ensuring accurate and timely disbursement, accounting treatment, and financial results.
  • Experience with financial systems, financial analysis and reporting, financial record keeping, and general ledger systems.
  • Experience in coaching and motivating employees.
  • Experience with using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in leading business process improvements by identifying, analyzing, and improving business processes to optimize performance, improve end-user experience, and scale for growth.
  • Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance requirements, including identifying and documenting key controls and processes and supporting internal controls testing.
  • HS diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with using iValua, Concur, and Deltek Costpoint.
  • Experience with government contracting.
  • Experience with system implementations.
  • Experience with leading complex and strategic work confidentially and accurately.
  • Ability to optimize cash management to improve financial results.
  • Ability to use multiple applications and databases in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $122,200.00 to $227, annualized USD.
