Key Responsibilities:
- Process invoices by matching them to purchase orders and packing slips, ensuring accurate data entry and compliance with policy and procedure.
- Verify invoice quantities, pricing, and apply state sales/use tax correctly.
- Route information to the appropriate individual for approvals and work with vendors, requisitioners, and purchasing to resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with vendor inquiries and set up new vendors.
- Ensure timely and accurate facilitation of payments by check and electronic transfers.
- Participate in month-end processes, including reconciliation of accounts payable balances, closing the AP module, and creating monthly accruals.
- Maintain internal controls and assist in audits by gathering documents and explaining procedures to auditors.
- Ensure confidentiality with all company and vendor information.
- Cross-train with the front desk and perform other ad hoc tasks related to the successful operation of the finance department.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business, or 2 years of related work experience.
- 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
