Job Title: Power Platform Developer

Job Summary:

Della Infotech is seeking a highly skilled Power Platform Developer to join our team. As a Power Platform Developer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining business solutions using Microsoft Power Platform tools such as Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Virtual Agents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop custom business applications using Power Apps (Canvas and Model Driven and Power Portals)
  • Automate workflows and processes using Power Automate
  • Build custom connectors to integrate data sources with the Power Platform
  • Create interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI
  • Develop and deploy chatbots using Power Virtual Agents
  • Develop intelligent document processing with AI Builder
  • Provide technical guidance and support to end-users and stakeholders
  • Ensure the security and compliance of Power Platform solutions
  • Collaborate with other developers and IT professionals to integrate Power Platform solutions with other enterprise systems
  • Develop custom APIs and plugins to extend the functionality of Power Platform tools
  • Conduct training and workshops to educate end-users on the use of Power Platform solutions

Requirements:

  • 3+ years Experience with building Power Portals and recent Power Pages including Liquid
  • 3+ years Experience with building Power Apps (Model Driven Apps, Canvas Apps)
  • 3+ years Experience with building Power Automate Flows
  • 5+ years Experience with Web Application development including HTML, CSS, Javascript
  • 5+ years Experience with C# development including Power Platform Plugins
  • 5+ years Experience with development in Visual Studio
  • 5+ years Experience with Agile Methodologies
  • Involved in a minimum of two large scaled Agile software development projects
  • Thorough understanding of development best practices in an Agile environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with code control/version/build tools e.g Azure DevOps
  • Experience with AI Builder
  • Experience with Power Virtual Agents
  • Experience with Power BI
  • Experience with Azure Blob and Azure Cognitive Services
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks e.g Nunit
  • Experience with XRM Toolkit
  • Experience with Integrating with REST/SOAP API's and using Postman
  • Experience with ASP.NET
  • Experience with Javascript Frameworks e.g Jquery, Ext, React

Administrative Considerations:

The Power Platform Developer will work as part of an iterative team using agile sprints. Work will be assigned based on items in the product backlog associated with Website Improvements. These tasks may be adjusted, reduced, or expanded as the project progresses through various phases.

The contract employee shall be expected to maintain and provide written documentation on any work performed in conjunction with this engagement.

The engagement will be for a term of up to 12 months. All work will be performed in eight (8) hour shifts, Monday to Friday, excluding State holidays. If workflow dictates an on-site presence is not needed, consultant may work remotely. All extended remote work will need approval by Chief Digital Officer or the designated manager.

Payment will be on a time and material basis and paid only for hours worked.

State Agencies are in downtown Hartford and the Greater Hartford area. Local Travel Reimbursement is not provided.

Use of State Resources:

The contractor will share a dedicated office space and will be provided with all computer hardware and software needed to execute and perform the duties for this program.

Security/Privacy Considerations:

Information accessible by the contractor may be sensitive, confidential or subject to the Privacy Act and/or HIPAA considerations. Contractor personnel must be familiar with and comply with the provisions of appropriate regulations and/or instructions. Signing of a confidentiality agreement will be required. Daily sign-in to the facility may be required. The contractor employee must always display an access badge while present in state facilities. A background check will be required.
