Job Summary

The Business Account Executive is a key role in driving revenue growth and customer acquisition for Spectrum. This position is responsible for selling primary and ancillary communications solutions to small and medium-sized businesses within a specified territory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prospect for new customers and develop sales strategies to achieve revenue goals
  • Sell bundled services to new customers and upsell existing customers
  • Develop and implement a Territory Plan to expand the customer base within the assigned territory
  • Work with Account Coordinators to ensure accurate and timely administrative work
  • Hand off customer service inquiries to the Customer Service department and focus on selling
  • Maintain accurate records of sales and prospecting activities
  • Meet and exceed performance standards as defined by the department Standards of Performance (SOP) and the Spectrum Way Sales Model
Requirements
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Knowledge of communications technologies and services, with an emphasis on telephone and Internet fundamentals
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Outside sales experience in a high-transaction, short-closing cycle model
  • Business-to-business sales experience
  • Proven sales history of meeting or exceeding targets
  • Bilingual Spanish
Working Conditions

The Business Account Executive will work in an office environment and/or outside environment with exposure to inclement weather.

The position requires moderate noise levels and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

A qualified applicant's criminal history, if any, will be considered in a manner consistent with applicable laws, including local ordinances.

The base pay for this position generally is between $43,800.00 and $72,000.00, with a commission earnings target starting at $54,000.
