Strategic Business Development Ocean

Join Global Executive Solutions Group as a Strategic Business Development Ocean, where you will play a key role in establishing strategic partnerships for our client's ocean and freight forwarding business. As a seasoned professional with 8 years of freight forwarding sales experience, you will be responsible for developing, strengthening, and maintaining relationships with new or existing customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with key customers to drive optimal sales and profits.
  • Develop and implement business plans to achieve major account sales goals.
  • Identify opportunities for account growth and offer value-added services to meet customers' needs.
  • Stay up-to-date with key trends in ocean and freight forwarding to determine new sales opportunities.
Requirements:
  • 8 years of freight forwarding sales experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of ocean freight forwarding.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve major account sales goals.
  • Business plan preparation and implementation.
  • Knowledge of major trade lanes (Asia-Pacific, SE Asia, Mexico & Brazil).
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Ability to travel 40%.
  • Computer literate: Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Residence: Greater Los Angeles, CA.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Freight forwarding operations.
  • Ability to cross-sell other products and services.
  • Advanced Degree – MBA.
