Join Our Surgical Critical Care Team

We are seeking a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Surgical Critical Care team at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, Connecticut.

As a member of our team, you will work alongside experienced APPs and Acute Care/Trauma Attending Surgeons to cover surgical, trauma, and neurosurgical patients within a Level 1 trauma system. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing critical care plans, performing invasive procedures, and coordinating care with consulting services.

You will also participate in rapid responses throughout the hospital to stabilize acutely decompensating patients and take part in the teaching of surgical residents, medical students, and PA students. Our team provides 24-7 coverage of the SICU, and you should expect shared responsibility on overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts.

We are looking for a detail-oriented team player who is comfortable working in a fast-paced surgical critical care environment. The successful candidate should be board certified and hold an active State of Connecticut license. Nurse Practitioner candidates should be Acute Care trained and certified, have previous ICU experience, and a minimum of two years of NP experience.
