Role Summary:

The Service Advisor plays a crucial role in the automotive service department, acting as the primary point of contact for customers seeking assistance with their vehicles. This position involves various responsibilities aimed at ensuring customer satisfaction and efficient service delivery.

  1. Welcome customers as they arrive in the service area, providing a friendly and professional atmosphere.
  2. Assess customer needs by inquiring about vehicle performance issues or conducting visual inspections.
  3. Prepare detailed estimates for repairs, including a breakdown of parts and labor costs.
  4. Respond to customer inquiries in person and over the phone, ensuring all questions are addressed promptly.
  5. Manage incoming calls effectively, returning missed calls the same day to maintain communication.
  6. Utilize texting software and phone calls to keep customers informed about their vehicle status.
  7. Perform minor repairs or adjustments as necessary.
  8. Ensure that repair orders are documented and closed efficiently.
  9. Notify customers immediately upon completion of work and provide updates on their vehicles.
  10. Collaborate positively with all team members to foster a supportive work environment.
  11. Maintain customer satisfaction index (CSI) above established standards.
  12. Adhere to company policies regarding labor and parts profitability.
  13. Uphold the company's commitment to non-discrimination and harassment-free workplace.
  14. Interact with the public courteously and professionally at all times.
  15. Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.

Equipment and Tools Utilized:

Vehicle Handling:

  1. Test drives of customer vehicles for diagnostics.
  2. Relocation of vehicles within the dealership.
  3. Repositioning of cars on the sales lot as needed.
  4. Other driving duties as assigned.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  1. Required safety gear includes:
  2. Leather topped rubber-soled shoes.
  3. Utilization of personal protective equipment at all times.

Physical Requirements:

  1. Standing: Intermittent, not exceeding 60% of the workday.
  2. Walking: Intermittent, not exceeding 20% of the workday.
  3. Sitting: Intermittent, not exceeding 10% of the workday.
  4. Occasional bending, kneeling, and crouching.
  5. Maximum lifting of 20 lbs.
  6. Maximum carrying of 10 lbs.
  7. Occasional pushing and pulling using tools and equipment.
  8. Climbing and balancing tasks as needed.
  9. Frequent handling of office and hand tools.

Environmental Conditions:

Exposure to various weather conditions, dust, fumes, and noise from machinery and automotive engines.

Employee Commitment:

At Car Pros, we believe in the importance of maintaining the dealership's assets and ensuring a clean and organized workspace. Employees are expected to contribute to the upkeep of the dealership, including proper disposal of waste and maintaining the presentation of vehicles for sale.

Employee Benefits:

Eligible employees and their families receive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance after 60 days of employment. The company covers 80% of basic medical, dental, and vision insurance costs. Employees can enroll in the 401k plan after one year of service and accrue personal time off based on hours worked.

Compensation: $36, $75, with commission-based pay structure.
