Automotive Quality Control Inspector

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Quality Control Inspector to join our team at Longo Toyota and Longo Lexus, part of Penske Motor Group. As a Quality Control Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our vehicles meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities:- Inspect vehicles to ensure that they meet manufacturer and quality specifications.
- Verify that mechanical parts on the vehicle were replaced in accordance with the repair order, manufacturer, and quality specifications.
- Inspect repaired vehicles for dimensional accuracy.
- Read and interpret work orders, inspection manuals, and other materials to determine inspection and testing procedures.
- Monitor progress and completion of vehicles to ensure proper repair and safety procedures are followed.
- Communicate with the Used Car Office and Shop Supervisor on the status of vehicles being inspected.
- Return vehicles to technicians that do not meet quality standards.
- Operate tools and equipment in a safe manner and maintain them in a proper state of repair.
- Assist in all other areas of the UCD as needed.
- Maintain assigned workspace in an organized and clean manner.
- Maintain high ethical standards in all actions.
- Maintain a high level of grooming, hygiene, and uniform appearance.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Comprehensive knowledge of automotive repair and automobile paint standards.
- Bureau of Automotive Repair rules and regulations.
- Fully proficient in mathematical principles (adding, subtracting, dividing, multiplying, and percentages).
- Ability to coordinate activities with other employees.
- Great attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Must work well with the public; communicate in a professional manner on the phone, internet, and in person; and use standard office equipment.
- Must have a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable and safe driving record.
- Must maintain high ethical standards in all actions.
