COMPENSATION: $21.40 per hour plus potential for quarterly bonuses.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position is based at our brewery location.

WORK SCHEDULE: The role requires (5) 8-hour shifts per week, with a rotation of morning, evening, and overnight shifts.

SHIFT DETAILS:

  • 1st shift: 6:00am - 2:00pm (Monday - Friday)
  • 2nd shift: 2:00pm - 10:00pm (Monday - Friday)
  • 3rd shift: 10:00pm - 6:00am (Sunday - Thursday)
  • Occasional Saturday shifts may be required.

ROLE OVERVIEW: The Production Brewer is responsible for operating our state-of-the-art 120-barrel automated brewing systems. Key responsibilities include milling, mashing, lautering, boiling, hop additions, whirlpool, and wort cooling. Additionally, the Brewer will manage the cleaning and sanitation of all transfer lines and vessels, as well as perform various cellar tasks such as yeast pitching, filtration, and beer transfers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Adhere to all safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with the brewing team to meet quality and production goals.
  • Execute tasks in line with company standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and quality control of raw materials.
  • Handle hazardous materials as required.
  • Document daily production records in compliance with company and federal regulations.
  • Ensure cleanliness of all production areas and equipment.
  • Assist maintenance teams with equipment upkeep.
  • Follow established cleaning schedules to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Participate in production meetings and contribute to product enhancement discussions.
  • Operate and monitor electronic brewing systems.
  • Represent the company at industry events as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Preferred: Minimum of two years of experience in brewing.
  • Brewing education or certification is a plus.
  • Familiarity with brewing practices and equipment is essential.
  • Understanding of safety measures in a production environment.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents and schematics.
  • Must be able to follow both oral and written instructions.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Physical requirements include frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
  • Must be capable of using a fitted face respirator.
  • Proficient in using hand tools and machinery.
  • Regular interaction with production staff and management.
