Overview

The Clinical Therapist plays a vital role within the Residential Treatment Center and Maternity Mother Child Blended programs, delivering essential clinical services to adolescents in these settings. Responsibilities encompass individual, group, and family therapy, crisis intervention, as well as conducting clinical evaluations and engaging in Interdisciplinary Team Meetings. Accurate and prompt documentation of all services in the Electronic Health Record is a critical aspect of this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver trauma-informed, evidence-based therapeutic interventions for individuals, families, and groups.
  • Perform comprehensive assessments, including diagnostic evaluations.
  • Develop and update clinical treatment plans (Individualized Service Plans) for assigned clients.
  • Ensure timely and precise written documentation of all clinical services provided.
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members, facilitating team meetings and discussions regarding program needs.
  • Participate in Family Team Conferences and intake assessments as required, along with meetings focused on admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  • Provide therapeutic support and crisis management as necessary.
  • Educate and train staff on clinically relevant topics, fostering a therapeutic environment based on the Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) framework.

Work Environment:

This position is primarily located at Rising Ground's Yonkers RTC site and the Bronx MMCB program, with occasional travel to other program sites and office locations as needed.

Expected Hours of Work:

Flexibility in working hours is essential, including evenings, with shift hours varying based on the needs of the children and families served.

Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree from an accredited program in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field is required, along with one of the following New York State Professional Licenses: LMSW, LMHC, LMFT, LCSW.
  • Preferred experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or other evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
  • A valid New York State Driver's License is preferred.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is preferred.
  • Strong computer skills and excellent writing abilities for accurate and detailed documentation.

Compensation is competitive, ranging from $60,000 to $70,000, along with benefits including paid time off, matching 401k, opportunities for career advancement, and more.
