Position Overview: AV Equipment Coordinator at Seton Hall University

The AV Equipment Coordinator plays a crucial role in overseeing and supplying audio-visual resources for educational sessions, meetings, and various events across the university campus. This position collaborates closely with faculty and staff to provide guidance on utilizing room technology and other audio-visual tools effectively.

Key Responsibilities:Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on audio-visual systems within classrooms and meeting spaces.Inventory Management: Oversee the inventory of AV technology, manage logistics for equipment delivery, and supervise student assistants in technology.Training and Support: Deliver ongoing training to student assistants and faculty regarding the use of AV equipment. Operate AV systems during events to ensure seamless execution.Administrative Duties: Handle clerical responsibilities including responding to inquiries, managing equipment reservations, and assisting clients with their service needs.

Qualifications Required:

High School Diploma or equivalent

2-3 years of relevant experience in the audio-visual sector within an educational environment

Strong proficiency in projection, sound, video, and recording technologies

Familiarity with Crestron and Extron control systems, as well as MS TEAMS

Comprehensive understanding of audio-visual technologies complemented by mechanical aptitude

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in CTS or completion of vocational/technical training

Employment Classification:

Staff Union (Local)

Exempt Status:

Nonexempt

Physical Requirements:

This role involves climbing ladders, lifting heavy equipment, working with tools, extensive walking, and exposure to outdoor conditions.
