Position Type: Regular Full-Time
Job Summary:
The role of the First Officer is crucial for the successful operation of flights, adhering to the guidelines and procedures mandated by FAR Part 135. The First Officer is accountable to the Base Lead Pilot and the Captain during flights, ensuring the highest standards of safety and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the flight preparation process.
- Support the Captain in fulfilling safety obligations.
- Execute assigned tasks during pre-flight and in-flight operations.
- Be ready to take over the responsibilities of the pilot in command if necessary.
- Maintain familiarity with the Company Manual, FAA Regulations, Operations Specifications, and relevant flight manuals.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Willingness to relocate to Birmingham, AL.
- Possession or ability to obtain HS125 PIC Type Rating.
- Unrestricted FAA ATP certificate eligibility.
- Flight experience requirements:
- 1500 hours total flight time.
- 250 hours in multi-engine aircraft.
- 250 hours as Pilot in Command.
- First-Class Medical Certificate eligibility and maintenance of First-Class Privileges.
- Valid US Passport.
- Eligibility for a Chinese Visa.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to walk, bend, stand, sit, and crouch unassisted for extended periods.
- Capability to lift up to 70 pounds.
- Flexibility to work day and night shifts as assigned.
- Transportation to and from work is required.
- Extensive international travel may be necessary, including overnight stays.
Reporting Structure:
This position reports to the Base Lead Pilot, Chief Pilot, and Director of Operations.
