X-TECHS is seeking a highly skilled Mammography Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for conducting specialized X-ray exams on breasts, including screenings and diagnostic studies.
Key Responsibilities- Examination Procedures: Conduct high-quality mammography exams, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the process.
- Patient Care: Provide exceptional patient care, addressing any concerns and explaining the examination process in a clear and concise manner.
- Image Quality Control: Develop and evaluate images for technical quality, including density, contrast, and definition.
- Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain mammography equipment, reporting any malfunctions or issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and files, adhering to established procedures and protocols.
- Quality Assurance: Perform regular quality control tests to ensure equipment and image quality meet the highest standards.
- Education: An associate degree or completion of a formal radiologic technology training program is required.
- Certification: Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Diagnostic Mammography is essential.
- Experience: Relevant experience in mammography or a related field is preferred, with certification and/or licensing in the specialty being a must.
- Skills: Possess a strong understanding of anatomy, patient positioning, and proper radiographic exposure factors, with the ability to obtain high-quality images and perform advanced procedures like stereotactic biopsies.
