We are currently seeking a meticulous and reliable Environmental Compliance Specialist I to enhance our Environmental team. The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee inspections and provide client support for various stormwater locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and adhere to relevant regulations in the field, including Stormwater TXR050000, TXR15000, TXG11000, and Spill Prevention Control and Counter Measures (SPCC) 40 CFR 112.
  • Compile and maintain necessary reports for both regulatory compliance and internal tracking of stormwater projects.
  • Engage in cross-training programs within the department to broaden expertise across all environmental service areas.
  • Participate in and promote Raba Kistner's Health and Safety and Behavior-Based Safety Programs, setting a positive safety example.
  • Focus on client retention and development.
  • Act as a backup inspector when required.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, chemistry, geology, biology, or a related field.
  • One to three years of relevant experience.
  • Completion of a 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training.
  • A valid driver's license that meets the firm's auto insurability requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess strong oral and written communication skills and be able to collaborate effectively with team members at various organizational levels. Proficiency in interpreting technical documents such as maps, construction plans, and regulatory guidelines is essential. Attention to detail and a willingness to work collaboratively are crucial. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required.

Additionally, candidates should be self-motivated, have a strong attendance record, and be capable of working independently. The ability to analyze problems, propose solutions, and demonstrate limited practical experience in environmental compliance and geosciences is preferred. Willingness to learn new skills related to data collection and field sampling protocols is also necessary.

Physical requirements include the ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift/move up to 50 pounds. The work environment may involve exposure to various conditions, necessitating adherence to safety protocols and the use of protective equipment.

This position may involve irregular hours, requiring flexibility to meet client needs.
