As a Coating Specialist at Shapco Inc, you will play a vital role in our production process, ensuring the highest quality finishes on various components.
Key Responsibilities- Operate sandblasting equipment and perform various sandblasting tasks on parts.
- Prepare parts for painting and coating by taping and cleaning.
- Manage the movement of racks in and out of the coating oven.
- Remove protective tape and clean parts for shipment.
- Efficiently interpret and execute work orders within the designated production timelines.
- Safely operate a forklift for loading and unloading materials essential for production.
- Conduct regular inspections using measurement tools to ensure the quality of finished products.
- Seek assistance from maintenance when equipment malfunctions or issues arise.
- Make minor mechanical adjustments as necessary.
- Prioritize personal and team safety, reporting any unsafe conditions promptly.
- Familiarize yourself with company policies and maintain a professional demeanor.
- Be open to cross-training in other operational roles within the organization.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.
- High school diploma or GED is required; relevant work experience may be considered.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic and use measuring devices.
- Good manual dexterity and physical capability to handle heavy tasks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.
- Adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
- Previous experience in painting or coating is highly desirable.
- Experience operating sandblasting equipment is preferred, but training will be provided.
- Forklift operation experience is preferred, with training available.
- Dependability, strong work ethic, and effective communication skills are essential.
- All candidates will undergo background checks and drug testing.
