  • Oversee local maintenance operations and activities.
  • Execute installation, upkeep, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on all field instrumentation, control systems, analyzers, and electrical apparatus.
  • Act as the Automation team's representative in facility maintenance communications.
  • Grasp the facility's processes, equipment, and designs that best support the Asset team.
  • Maintain and ensure compliance with the maintenance schedule and design.
  • Assist in monitoring and reporting maintenance expenditures.
  • Provide precise estimates for automation and maintenance initiatives.
  • Guarantee that all documentation related to automation projects is accurate, complete, and stored centrally.
  • Support the implementation of facility designs within automation standards.
  • Communicate all maintenance activities with Asset Teams effectively.
  • Guide and mentor Automation Well Specialists on facility process flow and troubleshooting of PLC, HMI, and end devices.
  • Offer automation support during all outages.
  • Adhere to the assigned schedule and ensure no overdue compliance work orders.
  • Conduct facility communication and PLC troubleshooting support.
  • Possess knowledge of RTUs, digital and analog I/O, programming, and troubleshooting.
  • Provide analytical assistance for facility-related issues.
  • Contribute insights on emerging technologies.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in troubleshooting using loop drawings, schematics, ladder logic, electrical one-line, and P&I diagrams.
  • Ensure facilities are orderly, including proper management of PLC programs, wiring, and cleanliness of automation equipment.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience with high voltage systems up to K.
  • Proficient in using hot sticks for line fuse replacements.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and reconstruct motor starters.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting PLCs.
  • Advanced understanding of automation and electrical design principles.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical and automation construction codes and practices.
  • Familiarity with PSSRs and MOCs.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure.
  • Self-motivated with a strong initiative.
  • Capable of calibrating and troubleshooting complex PLC programs.
  • Excellent diagnostic and repair skills for intricate automation system issues.
  • Ability to collaborate with a team and communicate across functions.
  • Knowledge of RTUs, digital and analog I/O, programming, and troubleshooting.

Educational Background:

  • High school diploma or GED with a minimum of -years of relevant experience required.
  • -year technical degree preferred but not mandatory.
  • Electronically qualified per OSHA, up to V.
  • Familiarity with oil and gas production operations is preferred.
  • Competent knowledge of oil and gas automation systems.
  • Must be able to commute to the work site; a company vehicle will be provided during rotation.
  • Solid understanding of oil and gas process facilities.
  • Valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record.
