Surgical Technologist Position at MD Anderson Cancer Center

MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team in the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) Operating Room. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of surgical procedures, maintaining a safe and efficient environment, and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare operating rooms, equipment, and supplies for surgical procedures, adhering to strict safety protocols and standards.
- Assist surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses during procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring the proper handling of instruments and equipment.
- Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient care, providing emotional support and ensuring the patient's comfort and well-being.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to maintain a safe and efficient operating room environment, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and equipment, staying up-to-date with the latest advancements and technologies.
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification or equivalent experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
- At least one year of recent surgical technologist experience, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center or hospital setting.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
- A competitive salary range of $50,000 to $98,000, depending on experience.
