Your Impact

The Curriculum Consultant at McGraw Hill is a former educator who transitions into a product expert and master presenter, specializing in K-12 Humanities: ELA and/or Social Studies. This role involves close collaboration with the Director to implement comprehensive go-to-market strategies for the I&S product portfolio. You will work in partnership with Project Management to influence future product roadmaps and integrate market research insights into our marketing approaches.

Key Responsibilities

  • Craft compelling value propositions and messaging that resonate with customer needs and product positioning.
  • Maintain awareness of the competitive landscape and deliver competitive advantages through sales support and marketing strategy development.
  • Represent the customer’s voice in critical business decisions, collaborating cross-functionally with teams in Product Management, PMO, Product and Academic Design, Finance, and Sales.
  • Provide hands-on assistance for key opportunities, intervention and supplemental product content, and strategies to align with state adoption and open territories.
  • Support Sales and Consulting teams to enhance retention and expansion opportunities for existing intervention programs.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree or higher is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of successful teaching experience; educational leadership experience at the building, district, or state level is advantageous.
  • Strong expertise in ELA and/or Social Studies trends and pedagogy.
  • Prior experience in educational sales and support is desirable.
  • Proven ability to present effectively to diverse audiences, including teachers, coaches, district staff, and community members.
  • A genuine passion for education and supporting schools/districts in adopting McGraw-Hill resources.
  • Ability to build rapport with audiences and respond strategically to inquiries.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with technology, including presentation software and hardware (PC or Mac), to create and deliver engaging multimedia presentations both virtually and in-person.
  • Willingness to travel overnight (85% of the time), which may include travel by car or air.
  • Physical capability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. regularly.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Proximity to a major metropolitan airport is necessary.
  • Fluency in Spanish is preferred but not mandatory.

Position Details

This is a 10-month position with a break in December and an additional 4 weeks off between April and July. The annual salary will be prorated based on 10 working months and distributed over 12 months. Vacation time will also be prorated based on 10 working months, with a salary range of $54,550-$80,000 annually, contingent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. A comprehensive benefits package may be offered based on the position.
