Electrical Power Distribution Specialist

At Blue Origin, we're pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. As an Electrical Power Distribution Specialist, you'll play a critical role in the design, development, and production of battery power distribution products for our New Glenn mission.

This is a unique opportunity to apply your technical expertise and leadership skills to a challenging and rewarding project. You'll work closely with a small, hard-working team of experts to develop and qualify electrical power distribution systems for our spacecraft.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical power distribution systems for spacecraft
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate power distribution systems with other spacecraft systems
  • Develop and implement testing and validation procedures for power distribution systems
  • Work with manufacturing teams to introduce designs to volume production

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of direct experience in electrical power distribution development, 3+ years in space applications desired
  • Direct experience with high-voltage systems design and/or testing
  • Experience specifying and justifying margins and test sequences for high-power systems
  • Ability to work hands-on, both independently and as part of a team, throughout the development and production phases of the product lifecycle
  • Excellent technical interpersonal skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to travel to and work at remote sites supporting test integration, commissioning, and training

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Experience in development of launch vehicles
  • Experience with human spaceflight or high-performance aircraft systems
  • Experience across multiple portions of the product life cycle
  • Experience with Primavera (P6), DOORS, CREO, Windchill
