Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled Battery Test Engineer III to support the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration heavy-lift launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to Earth's orbit and beyond.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute test campaigns in support of manufacturing and qualifying flight avionics hardware.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of specialists, technicians, and engineers to ensure safe and robust avionics for the New Glenn launch vehicle.
  • Apply technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight.
  • Work independently and as part of a team on rapid development programs.
Requirements
  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related areas.
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience developing test equipment for battery cells or packs.
  • Sound knowledge of electronics, electrical circuit fundamentals, and EMI/EMC standards.
  • Familiarity with hardware development life cycle, lithium-ion batteries, and Battery Management Systems.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 7+ years of coordinated test and operations experience (aircraft, launch vehicles, spacecraft, racing teams).
  • Experience with testing to UN 38.3 and/or RTCA DO-311.
  • Experience managing sophisticated projects combining hardware, firmware, and software.
