Position Overview

At MIDLAND COMMUNITY HEALTHCARE SERVICES, INC., we are in search of an Administrative Specialist to become a vital member of our team within the Coleman / Women's Services / Pediatrics/Dental division. In this role, you will serve as the initial point of contact for our clientele, delivering outstanding customer service while managing a variety of administrative responsibilities to facilitate efficient clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities

The primary duties associated with this position encompass:

  • Handling and directing clinic business telephone communications.
  • Coordinating and overseeing patient appointment schedules.
  • Supporting patient registration processes, check-in/out activities, and payment collections.
  • Confirming insurance details and accurately entering patient information.
  • Assisting patients with inquiries related to billing and financial arrangements.
Essential Skills and Competencies
  • Strong focus on customer service.
  • Excellent communication abilities (both verbal and written).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant medical software applications.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Understanding of cultural diversity.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. is mandatory.
  • Preferred experience of 1-3 years in customer service.
  • Preferred experience of 1-3 years in a medical office setting.
  • Bilingual capabilities are advantageous.
Work Environment

BBP Class III: No exposure-prone duties. Basic protective equipment training will be provided. Vaccinations are available through the organization.
