Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Pediatric Diabetes Educator to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide safe, direct patient care utilizing the nursing process in the ambulatory setting.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership for staff and serve as a role model in promoting exceptional care.
  • Assume relief charge duties, when designated, to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Develop and implement patient-centered care plans to address specific needs.
  • Collaborate with families to promote self-management, hope, and empowerment in managing Type 1 diabetes.
  • Document medical records accurately and efficiently to support quality patient care.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A Nationally Accredited Nursing Graduate degree or higher.
  • Current RN licensure in New Mexico or reciprocal agreement by NM.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days.
  • Three years of directly related experience in pediatric nursing.
  • Bilingual skills in English and Spanish, Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo.
Work Environment

This position requires working in a fast-paced hospital environment with moderate exposure to chemicals/dangerous equipment/materials.

Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this role is $85,000 - $115,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
