Job Overview

Middle West Spirits LLC is seeking a highly skilled National Accounts Manager to join our sales team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining existing relationships with major national and regional off and on-premises chains, as well as securing new partnerships and results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, manage, and execute direct sales calls with major national and regional off and on-premises chains, including duty-free, cruise lines, and clubs.
  • Maintain and utilize a current contact list for national and regional accounts leadership and distributor chain teams.
  • Deliver relevant training to off and on-premise decision-makers via presentations to build distributor knowledge of and belief in Middle West Spirits and its world-class portfolio.
  • Work directly with the VP of Sales to establish programming, pricing, new item distribution, and RFPs in major off and on-premise national and regional chains.
  • Recommend tactical activities that work well in individual territories, identify incremental business-building opportunities, and work with the VP of Branded Sales to secure resources necessary to deliver activities.
  • Ensure account target lists are developed, updated, and executed on.
  • Collaborate with all relevant departments to coordinate and execute programming, including marketing, operational, and finance.
  • Monitor all in-market spend, ensure investments are effective and efficient, and help achieve chain profit, revenue, and distribution objectives.
  • Leverage current and feature marketing/programming initiatives to target effective brand-building chain-specific programming.
  • Utilize and analyze all available resources, data, and trends to track and improve results, course correct, and leverage future opportunities.
  • Create and collaborate on all chain brand-building calendars/activities, including new product development and private label opportunities.
  • Effectively prioritize, proactively communicate, and maintain a high level of professionalism in all aspects of work, providing monthly and quarterly updates to the executive team.
  • Manage and execute portfolio priorities and new item initiatives.
  • Be willing and able to take on additional responsibilities and projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 5-10 years' experience within the beverage alcohol industry with a concentration in national accounts (major national and regional chains).
  • Strong understanding of on-premises and off-premises retailer environments and the three-tier system.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships and influence with distributors, brokers, and national accounts.
