Regional Medical Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Medical Director to join our team at Ochsner Health. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in driving the delivery of high-quality patient care across our healthcare system.
Key Responsibilities- Lead efforts regionally to monitor, revise, and develop best practice guidelines to improve patient outcomes.
- Promote the standardization of clinical processes and interoperability, adoption of effective solutions, and advance innovative patient care and population health initiatives.
- Identify and pursue the use/advancement of digital care technologies in ways that add value to our organization.
- Communicate changes and trends in healthcare and translate the value to our care delivery audiences.
- Partner with senior leadership to develop strategic initiatives supporting clinical and business objectives.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of national and regional trends and how these are likely to affect provider supply, patient expectations, and reimbursement.
- Establish, evaluate, and maintain a comprehensive program for coaching, leadership identification, and leadership development.
- Understand issues from a national perspective, participate in or lead national programs, and make a case for behavior change with physicians.
- Cross-regional program and initiative development, contributing to System leadership through awareness of innovations in other parts of the Ochsner system as well as other industries.
- Board certified or eligible for certification in physician's primary specialty.
- Licensed Practicing Provider MD/DO.
- Credentialed and willing to maintain clinical practice.
- Five (5) years of leading a sizable physician group.
