Ochsner Health seeks a visionary leader to serve as the Regional Chair of Imaging, Academic Chair of Radiology. This key role will oversee the strategic direction and operational management of radiology services across multiple facilities in the Greater New Orleans region.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan for imaging services, aligning with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of radiology services, ensuring adherence to quality standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Clinical Excellence: Foster a culture of clinical excellence, promoting evidence-based imaging care, process improvement, and continuous quality improvement.
- Research and Education: Develop and maintain an active research section, focusing on clinical and outcomes research, clinical trials, data science, and collaboration with other disciplines.
- Medical Education: Lead medical education programs, ensuring alignment with accreditation requirements and continuity into student clerkships.
- Partnerships and Collaborations: Foster strategic partnerships with other organizations, such as the Ochsner MD Anderson Cancer Center and Andrews Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Institute.
- Human Resources: Recruit, retain, and develop diverse, high-caliber faculty and trainees, promoting a culture of professionalism and excellence.
- Education: M.D. or D.O. degree with active Board Certification through the American Board of Radiology.
- Experience: National reputation for excellence and academic accomplishment within Radiology/Imaging, along with at least 3 years of leadership at the Section or Department level.
- Clinical Experience: Significant clinical experience in radiology practice, with demonstrated expertise in diagnostic imaging interpretation and clinical decision-making.
- Leadership Experience: Experience as a Chair or Vice Chair at a large academic health system.
