As a key member of the Finance team, you will report directly to the Senior Financial Analyst and oversee the management and reporting functions of the Cadency tool utilized across the Finance Organization. This sophisticated Trintech product is essential for executing Balance Sheet reconciliations, posting journal entries, and monitoring journal entry approvals, all crucial for ensuring a timely financial close for the Controller's Group. Your expertise in SOX controls, fiscal closing policies, and account reconciliation principles will be vital in this role. Additionally, you will collaborate with the IT Department on projects involving Cadency or CCG-related processes, including testing and system design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer the Cadency tool, including the integration of subledger balances, foreign currency rates, and new tasks; verify and assign child accounts to reconciliations.
  • Manage user access according to control guidelines and coordinate IT SAR change requests for the Cadency tool.
  • Conduct Cadency audits encompassing journal entry reviews, internal and external audits, quality assurance checks, and data integrity validations to ensure accuracy against our ERP system.
  • Facilitate the timely completion of Conagra's fiscal close by monitoring and communicating with Cadency end users regarding period-end close activities.
  • Develop monthly accounting schedules to support balance sheet account reconciliations and financial audits.
  • Utilize your knowledge of the Cadency tool to assist users with any challenges related to their balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Respond to inquiries from both internal and external CCG customers and provide training to Cadency end-users.
  • Support upgrades and implementations of the Cadency tool.
  • Apply analytical judgment in financial, operational, or transactional assessments to identify and resolve issues.
  • Assess the effectiveness of processes, procedures, and control environments, proposing enhancements and documenting processes.
  • Communicate relevant information to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Notify management of any situations that could significantly impact the company's financial status.
  • Demonstrate teamwork capabilities within and beyond your assigned responsibilities, with a strong emphasis on cross-training in various departmental areas.
  • Engage in special projects related to general accounting, including mergers/acquisitions, SFAS updates, and systems conversions.
Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is essential.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in public accounting, corporate accounting, financial accounting, or cost accounting.
  • Proficient in researching and reconciling multiple accounts.
  • Experience with SAP and its reporting tools is preferred.
  • Familiarity with control software is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of PowerBI and PowerAutomate is a plus.
