Job Overview
The Financial Analyst plays a crucial role in generating and organizing financial documentation with minimal oversight. This position is dedicated to analyzing expense data and delivering insightful variance reports comparing actual results against forecasts and previous periods.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with various departmental and regional teams, alongside Finance and Accounting personnel.
- Prepare and compile financial documents, including monthly forecasts, headcount assessments, quarterly evaluations, and a comprehensive ten-year strategic plan for designated groups.
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned or required.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related discipline; or equivalent professional experience.
- A minimum of two years of experience in financial accounting, financial planning, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of financial statements to support effective modeling.
- Proficient Excel skills essential for financial modeling tasks.
- Familiarity with Excel and PowerPoint applications.
- Knowledge of software such as Oracle, PowerPlan, and Utilities International is advantageous.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines and understand the impact of transactions on financial statements.
- Capacity to perform well under pressure with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage with all management levels and staff.
- Willingness to work overtime during critical periods, particularly during strategic planning and forecasting phases.
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in prioritizing and managing concurrent tasks and projects.

About Our Company
Berkshire Hathaway Energy's Pipeline Group comprises several interstate natural gas pipeline entities, including BHE GT&S, Kern River Gas Transmission Company, and Northern Natural Gas Company.
Together, these companies manage approximately 21,200 miles of pipeline with a design capacity of around 21.1 billion cubic feet of natural gas per day, operating across 27 states and contributing to approximately 15% of the total natural gas consumption in the U.S.
Additionally, the Pipeline Group oversees 22 natural gas storage facilities with a total working gas capacity of 515.6 billion cubic feet, as well as a facility for liquefied natural gas export, import, and storage.
