Position Overview:


The Financial Analyst plays a vital role within the executive leadership team, reporting directly to the VP of Finance. This position is essential for steering the financial planning of the organization.

The analyst will collaborate with the VP of Finance to set annual financial goals that align with the company's strategic growth initiatives.

This role involves strategizing the organizational structure of the financial team and overseeing various functions to ensure compliance and risk management.


Key Responsibilities:


The selected candidate will prepare financial reports as directed by the VP of Finance, including balance sheets and income statements.

Additionally, they will assist in compliance audits and monitor internal controls to ensure adherence to established policies and procedures.


This position is crucial for supporting the VP of Finance in delivering comprehensive financial information that aids in developing financial strategies, decision-making, and identifying opportunities for cost efficiencies across the organization.


The Financial Analyst will manage traditional responsibilities such as closing the books and ensuring regulatory compliance while also supporting broader company strategies in collaboration with the VP of Finance.

Assess and evaluate the financial performance of the organization in relation to long-term operational goals, budgets, and forecasts.


Provide insights and recommendations for both short-term and long-term growth strategies.


Evaluate departmental functions and suggest improvements for process automation and efficiency enhancement.

Engage with the VP of Finance to ensure the smooth execution of projects and daily financial operations.

Participate in key decisions related to strategic initiatives and operational models led by the VP of Finance and the team.


Collaborate with the VP of Finance on client pricing strategies to ensure profitability.


Develop process maps and standard operating procedures for departmental functions.



Financial Analysis, Budgeting, and Forecasting:

Review and analyze monthly financial outcomes and provide actionable recommendations.

Develop and maintain both monthly and annual operating budgets.

Prepare and present monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements, budget forecasts, and weekly cash flow analyses.



Accounting and Financial Operations:

Prepare and communicate financial statements effectively.

Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.

Collaborate with Human Resources to uphold legal compliance.

Review and implement appropriate internal controls and financial procedures.

Oversee the month-end closing process, continuously refining procedures to eliminate inefficiencies.

Prepare and review all month-end closing activities, managing general ledger accounts, balance sheet accounts, and overhead cost allocations.

Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools, and controls.

Act as a primary contact for external auditors and manage the preparation and support for all external audits.

Work closely with the VP of Finance on projects and financial reports to deepen understanding of the organization.



Financial Management:

Oversee cash flow planning and ensure the availability of funds.

Maintain strong banking relationships and strategic partnerships with vendors and business associates.

Utilize forward-looking models and activity-based analyses to provide financial insights into the organization's plans and budgets.

Manage accounts payable and receivable, providing guidance on the collection process.

Ensure timely payroll processing.



Financial Relations and Policies:

Collaborate with the VP of Finance to develop short-term and long-term plans, projections, and budgets.

May represent the company to banks, financial partners, institutions, investors, public auditors, and officials.

Stay updated on audit best practices and relevant laws.
