About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Service Representative to join our team at Stryker. As a key member of our field service team, you will be responsible for independently scheduling and performing on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of highly complex robotics medical equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Expertise: Demonstrate proficiency in the repair, maintenance, operation, and clinical use of Stryker robotic systems and instruments.
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of the surgical orthopedic industry is preferred.
  • Critical Decision Making: Exercise sound judgment and decision making within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Independent Work Management: Independently manage work calendar and travel schedule.
  • Customer Liaison: Serve as company liaison with customer on administrative and technical matters.
  • Performance Metrics: Achieve and maintain a high level of performance whereby allowing Stryker to meet and exceed the company's financial goals and performance metrics.
  • System Validation: Validate and ensure system is ready for post-service clinical use.
  • Inventory Management: Manage and control field inventory, tools, test equipment, technical documentation, and other assigned equipment.
  • Documentation: Prepare and submit applicable field service documentation in a complete, accurate, and timely manner.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Independently and proactively schedule and perform required preventive maintenance visits and engineering updates (ECNs) as required.
Requirements
  • Work Experience: 5+ years of work experience - required.
  • Technical Background: Previous experience as a technical field service professional or in a relevant capacity - preferred.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent - required. Bachelor's Degree - preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Demonstrated high degree of technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and robust analytical ability.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrated practical interpersonal and communication skills with ability to interact effectively with customers as necessary.
  • Product Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of robotics or highly complex product; knowledge of capital equipment is preferred.
  • Independent Work: Proven track record of working independently, making critical decisions.
  • Project Management: Proven multiple project and time management skills.
  • Collaboration: Consistent ability to document and collaborate with colleagues and R&D Engineering on new system fault observations and share best repair action plan.
  • Software Skills: Working knowledge of Windows operating systems and office applications required.
