Job Title: Senior Project Manager- PPBE

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager- PPBE to support a government contracting organization at the Pentagon in DC. This is a 100% onsite role supporting the Air Force Program Executive Office (AFPEO) Business Enterprise Systems (BES) Financial Systems Division (GBG).

Responsibilities:
  • Manage projects within the Pentagon office, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Apply expertise in government financial systems to optimize project outcomes.
  • Implement Agile processes and utilize Jira for efficient project management.
  • Utilize the BES Atlassian Tool Suite for streamlined project collaboration and coordination.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the PPBE process to facilitate project planning and execution.
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, including strong presentation skills.
  • Manage time efficiently, maintain thorough documentation, and exhibit strong organizational skills.
  • Plan and schedule projects effectively, managing resources efficiently to meet project goals.
  • Gather, interpret, analyze, and validate detailed requirements to ensure project alignment with stakeholder needs.
  • Demonstrate multitasking ability, problem-solving skills, and consistent on-time delivery with a focus on exceptional customer service.
  • Foster excellent interpersonal communication to collaborate effectively with project teams and stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • 8-10 years of project management experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field required
  • Security+ certification
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification with the following skills:
    • Excellent project planning, scheduling, and resource management capabilities.
    • Proficiency in detailed requirements gathering, interpretation, analysis, and validation.
  • Proficiency in PPBE (Program, Planning, Budget, and Execution)
  • Experience with government financial systems- PBES (Program & Budget Enterprise System) or similar.
  • Familiarity with Agile processes and proficiency in Jira processes.
  • Working knowledge of the BES Atlassian Tool Suite.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written and strong presentation abilities.
  • Effective time management, documentation, and organizational skills.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance.
Compensation:
  • Salary: $160,000- $185,000/ year ***depending on experience*** (some flex)
  • Term: 6-month contract to hire (conversion to the Prime as a FTE after 6 months)
  • Term: Newly awarded 5-year program- long term opportunity
  • Hours: core hours required
