Job Summary

The RN Pre-op/PACU is a critical member of our perioperative services team, providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering safe, effective, and patient-centered care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and prioritize patient needs, developing individualized plans of care to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
  • Administer medications, perform procedures, and provide education to patients and families.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs, responding promptly to changes or complications.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current TX Nursing License.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Pre-Op/PACU, with previous experience in an ambulatory surgical setting preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and patient management.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, communicating clearly and respectfully with colleagues and patients.
