Lead Pipeline Operations Technician

As a key member of our team, the Pipeline Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of pipeline systems. This position offers a pathway for professional growth and development within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Address equipment failures, physical damage, and emergency situations to protect personnel and property, adhering to established protocols.
- Execute lockout/tagout procedures diligently to maintain safety standards.
- Prepare and maintain accurate reports and documentation, demonstrating familiarity with local filing systems.
- Engage in ongoing training to uphold necessary qualifications.
- Manage the processes of ordering, receiving, and transferring materials, while conducting physical inventory as needed.
- Collaborate with regional teams to recommend appropriate spare parts inventory for equipment maintenance.
- Contribute to work planning and provide budget-related insights as part of the annual budgeting cycle.
- Interpret technical drawings, sketches, and as-built documents effectively.
- Maintain a commitment to safety and actively participate in safety programs.
- Work collaboratively within a team environment, fostering positive relationships with colleagues.
- Project a professional image in all interactions with external stakeholders.
- Comply with company policies and external regulations, including adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Operation and Maintenance (O&M) Manuals.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- A minimum of five years of relevant experience in the field.
- Possession of a valid Driver's License.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and be available for on-call duties as necessary.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in varying weather conditions.
- Must reside or be willing to relocate within a reasonable distance of the reporting location.
- A strong desire for professional development as a Pipeline Technician.
- Knowledge of pipeline maintenance and operational equipment.
- Proficient in computer applications, particularly Excel and Word.
- Demonstrated technical and analytical skills through education or experience.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience contributing to a team-oriented environment that values integrity and openness.
- Proven track record of safe work practices.
- Innovative problem-solving abilities while adhering to SOPs.
- Willingness to take initiative and responsibility for resolving issues.
Physical: This role involves various physical activities including balancing, climbing, lifting, and carrying items up to 25 pounds, as well as repetitive motions and visual tasks.
Mental: Candidates must demonstrate the ability to understand and apply instructions, solve complex problems, prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively in written and verbal formats.
