Position Overview:

The Assembler plays a vital role in supporting our manufacturing operations by executing bench-type processes to complete mechanical and electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies using hand tools, as well as electronic and pneumatic equipment. Previous experience in mechanical or electrical assembly is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to standard operating procedures or work instructions.
  • Conduct assembly operations to produce complete products as per manufacturing schedules.
  • Utilize various fixtures, hand tools, and specialized equipment to assemble, modify, measure, cut, drill, adjust, test, or repair products.
  • Perform quality control inspections, both visual and functional, of materials/products before and after assembly.
  • Employ effective problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to assess the electrical and mechanical performance of completed assemblies.
  • Report any discrepancies in work orders, material lists, assembly instructions, or equipment malfunctions to supervision.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with supervisors and leads.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and equipment.
  • Follow established safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in using computers and related technology.
  • Basic math skills are necessary.
  • Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with tools and measuring instruments.
  • Ability to read and interpret visual aids such as drawings and blueprints.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with reading electrical diagrams is a plus.
  • Experience in wiring control panels is beneficial.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this position, candidates are regularly required to communicate effectively, use hands and fingers to handle objects and tools, and perform physical activities such as standing, walking, sitting, reaching, climbing, and bending. Occasionally, candidates may need to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The work environment typically has a moderate noise level, and candidates must be able to access and inspect all areas of machinery.
