The Position:

The Assembly Specialist supports manufacturing operations by performing bench-type processes to complete mechanical and electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies using hand tools, electronic, and pneumatic tooling. Experience in mechanical or electrical assembly is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work to standard operating procedures or work instructions
  • Perform assembly operations to produce complete products directed by manufacturing schedules
  • Use various fixtures, hand tools, and special tools, gauges, and assembly tools to assemble, modify, measure, cut, drill, adjust, test, or repair products
  • Perform quality control visual inspections or functional operation of material/product before and after assembly
  • Utilize good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to check electrical and mechanical performance of completed assemblies
  • Notify supervision discrepancies of work orders, material lists, assembly instructions, or equipment malfunctions
  • Coordinate/communicate with supervisors and leads
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
  • Follow prescribed safety regulations
