Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled LPN to join our team at AltaPointe Health, providing exceptional care to children and adolescents in our residential services program.

Responsibilities
  • Complete the admission process for consumers, including medical checklists, medication administration, and vital signs.
  • Observe and document consumer behavior, interacting with them to ensure proper information is reported.
  • Provide nursing care, direct behavioral staff, and assist with personal care tasks.
  • Administer medications, educate consumers and families on medication use, and monitor for potential side effects.
  • Communicate effectively with the physician and multi-disciplinary team, participating in treatment planning and development.
  • Perform emergency care, including CPR and PRN medications, according to AltaPointe Policy & Procedures.
Requirements
  • Current LPN license in Alabama.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand, sit, and walk for extended periods.
  • Strong grasp and pushing/pulling force up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to ambulate quickly to assist coworkers with consumers in restraint procedures.
Working Conditions

This position requires frequent standing, sitting, and walking, with occasional forward bending, squatting, and lifting. The ability to maintain back extension and kneel is also necessary.
