Job Summary:
The Consumer Finance and Billing Coordinator is a key member of the Dungarvin team, responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely management of financial records and obligations for individuals served. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Record Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for individuals served, including checking and savings accounts, and ensure that financial obligations are met in a timely manner.
- Bill Payment and Reconciliation: Pay bills on behalf of individuals served, reconcile checking and savings accounts, and ensure that all financial documentation is complete and accurate.
- Financial Documentation and Reporting: Complete all financial documentation required by the county and/or any other funding source, and provide regular financial reports to management.
- Training and Support: Train Lead DSPs on how to complete monthly financial packets, collect financial documentation from Program Directors, and audit monthly financial packets.
- Benefits and Reimbursement: Ensure that individuals served receive accurate and timely reimbursement for services, and communicate with Accounts Receivable personnel to resolve any issues.
- Customer Service: Provide quality, prompt, and cost-effective customer service to individuals served, their families, and other stakeholders.
- Confidentiality and HIPAA: Maintain the strictest confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 18 years of age and high school diploma/GED required.
- Experience in basic accounting preferred.
- Previous experience working with and/or knowledge of representative payee responsibilities, eligibility requirements for entitlement programs, and checking and savings account maintenance is preferred.
